About Me
I am an environmentally-conscious costume maker & supervisor for theatre and indie film based in Sheffield, UK. I have a degree in costume interpretation from Arts University Bournemouth, and since graduating in summer 2019 I have had a breadth of experience in the costume industry.
I have worked as wardrobe technician for The MTA London, for which I've worked on a winter panto and on a whole college showcase.
I've also worked as a costume maker at White Horse Theatre in Germany since January 2019. I was promoted to Head of Wardrobe in January 2020. I have also designed, sourced and made costumes for several short indie films. I am looking to do more costuming for music videos and TV.
I adore period costuming and I especially love costume making for panto - anything weird and wonderful!
I try to be as resourceful as possible and up-cycle wherever I can when costuming! If I'm sourcing, it's charity shops first. If I'm making, I take to the online fabric-swapping forums and see what I can get second hand. I am fully aware of the impact clothes wastage and over-consumption has on the environment, and so I am always mindful of ways to reduce this when doing my job.

I do so much more than dresses!
With the theatres currently closed for at least another year, I have been using my skills in other ways. I can do the following:
-
Garment alterations
-
Up-cycles: there is always more than one life to a garment!
-
Embroidery commissions
-
Crochet commissions
-
Custom dye pieces
